The Champaign Park District has announced that acclaimed rock singer ANN WILSON will perform in concert on Thursday, July 27, 2023, 7:30 P.M., at the Virginia Theatre, 203 West Park Avenue, Champaign, Illinois, 61820.  Reserved seating tickets are $39.50 to $89.50, plus an additional per-ticket processing fee of $4.50 to $8.50, and go on sale Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at the Virginia Theatre box office, online at thevirginia.org, or charge by phone at 217/356-9063. Ann Wilson, known the world over as a founder and the lead singer and songwriter of the barrier-breaking band HEART, has been widely praised as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music. Wilson’s powerful voice has entertained audiences for over five decades, earning record sales of more than 35 million, an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

“Barracuda,” “Crazy On You,” and “Magic Man” are among the many songs Ann Wilson has written that now reside in the pantheon of rock’s greatest hits. “Greed” from Ann’s 2022’s solo album Fierce Bliss plays seamlessly alongside those earlier classics in her current live band set.

In 2022, Ann Wilson sang with Disturbed front man David Draiman on the duet “Don’t Tell Me” from their recently released Divisive album and also lent her voice to Dolly Parton’s forthcoming rock record. From Dreamboat Annie and Disturbed to Dolly Parton and beyond, Ann Wilson continues to defy genre labels.

Prior to starting her summer tour, Ms. Wilson has been putting the finishing touches on a new album of original material.
