Promise Healthcare COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Clinic @ 819 Bloomington Road- 03/04
Promise Healthcare is hosting a COVID Booster Clinic for ages 12 and up on Saturday, March 4th from 9 am – 12 pm at the Frances Nelson Clinic location at 819 Bloomington Road. Boosters are an important part of protecting yourself from getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19. No appointment needed.
This is a single dose Pfizer “bivalent” booster for people ages 12 years and older who’ve had their primary COVID series shots (1 J & J or 2 Moderna, Pfizer). You are eligible for the Bivalent Booster if you have completed your primary series and it has been at least 2 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine dose. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the updated (bivalent) boosters are called “bivalent” because they protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5. Previous boosters are called “monovalent” because they were designed to protect against the original virus that causes COVID-19. If you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past, it is recommended that you also wait for at least 3 months since your COVID-19 infection to receive the vaccine.
Bring your COVID vaccination card or proof of vaccination.
